Our Statement of Faith

LifeSong Ministry's Statement of Faith  

We believe the Bible is God's Word inspired by the Holy Spirit.  It is our final,
absolute authority, accurate and applicable to our every day lives.

We believe there is one God, existing eternally in three persons:
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
He is totally loving and completely holy.

God the Father - The Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth who upholds and governs all that exist.

God the Son - The Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God. 
Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. Fully God and fully man.
He led a sinless life, preached the good news of salvation and performed countless miracles.
For our sake he suffered death on the cross and made atonement for us through His shed blood.
On the third day He was raised bodily from the dead.
He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will personally come again one day in power and glory.

God the Holy Spirit - Proceeds from the Father and the Son and is equally worshiped and glorified.
He indwells every believer in Jesus Christ, empowers Christians
to live a Godly life and is our constant Comforter and Guide.

 We believe that sin has separated us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins,
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. 
Through this free gift of salvation we can have a personal relationship with God and spend eternity with Him.

We believe that sanctification is the ongoing process of allowing God's character to be developed in us.

We believe in water baptism by immersion, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus,
as the way for believers to declare to the world that they have died with Christ
and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that all believers are
entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek.
With it comes the impartation of power for life and service, the bestowment of the
spiritual gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.
The gifts of the Spirit are active and relevant today for the strengthening of God's people
and are proof of Gods existence and power to unbelievers.

We believe that divine healing is available to all and active in the lives of people today through Jesus
so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.
Healing includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual restoration.

We believe the Bible describes both heaven and hell as real places.
Our eternal destination is determined by our acceptance or rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised and He will
take all those who have accepted Him as Savior to heaven for eternity.
